I first developed varicose veins in my early twenties. when my employment required be to stand for long periods of time on concreate floors. Hereditary wise, I was always going to be at risk of vascular problems as my father also had varicose vains and indeed the weakness is now apparent in my children. Now, forty years on a cluster of vains purtruded from inside my right thigh like a bunch of grapes. As I am a keen Triathlete which involves swimming, cycling and running it had become embarrising getting into training gear and showing my legs. I visited my GP who advised that, as I was in no real pain and as it was mainly cosmetic it could NOT be corrected on the NHS. As she was aware through other patients of Mr Gajraj work, she recommended that I contacted the Melbury Clinic. At my first consultation with Mr Gajraj he advised that the VNUS ClosureFAST procedure would be the most suitable for the condition. On the day of the treatment I arrived at the Clinic at 8am after taking some medication to relax me and consent form signing, the procedure got under way by 9am.After an hour and a quarterand with no more discomfort than going to the dentist, it was all done. I then had to lie still with my legs up until mid day then off home. Job Done! I suffered no post- procedure pain but the area where the procedure had taken place showed traces of deminishing bruising for six weeks. After the procedure, I asked Mr Gajraj when I could resume training, his answer was " you will know when you are ready" and he was right. After six weeks I now feel I can get back to a full training programme . Great Job, I wish the VNUS ClosureFast method had been available years ago......Stewart Palmer

I attended Dr Gajraj's Sclerotherapy and Facial Telangectasia one day course. I was very impressed by the course as it gave me lots of practical injecting experience that left me feeling confident that I could introduce these new techniques into my busy Cosmetic Skin Clinic. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Dr Gajraj. He was warm, interested and engaging and a created a safe learning environment for Medical Professionals looking to develop more practical skills.

My wife and I discussed the pros and cons of having her viens treated at some length. The procedure is not cheap and we also looked at other sites. We visited the clinic on two occassions and no pressure or sales technics were apparent. The options were given and we also consulted our own GP. After careful consideration we decided to proceed. What a result. My wife is so pleased at the standard of care and treatment that she has received but also the vast improvement already apparent with further treatment to complete the job. Not only is this treatment painless and provides if you like cosmetic and physical benefit but also can only improve confidence and that feel good factor. So it has cosmetic medical and mental benefits. Left alone the appearance could only deteriorate further A very sound long term investment. Top quality service and 100% confidence in the team and care for you as an individual.

Having done some research on the internet it was clear that the melbury clinic had an amazing reputation. So i made an appt with Dr Gajraj. Everything was explained thoroughly and i was made to feel really comfortable. So happily booked the appt to have my veins done. The operation didnt take long and i was able to walk in and out in the same afternoon. There was very little discomfort and the end result is amazing. Thanks to Dr Gajraj and his lovely team I would and have recommended him to other friends with similar problems. Its one of the best things ive done, and wouldnt hesitate to do it again if i needed to.

I initially had my Veins stripped under a general anaethestic in hospital approx 20yrs ago and it was the most horrific experience, a few days after surgery i was unable to walk because if the terrible bruising and swelling , in my GP's words it looked like i had been run over by a truck!. So when my veins reappeared i was very apprehensive on having anymore NHS treatments , though the GP advised me that treatment is not available as it is classed as a cosmetic procedure!!!! After seeing an invitation to an Open Evening I plucked up the courage to go and met Mr Gajaraj whom i must say was inspiring in the way he talked about the condition of veins and the treatments.. I booked the free consultation, and Mr Gajraj examined my legs and reassured me that he could help me, i have never felt aprehensive over having any of my treatments, as Mr Gajraj puts you at ease with his caring and professional manner, and best of all the treatments are virtually pain free, the worst thing is to wear the compression stockings for 7 days but its a small price to pay...... I can now virtually skip through the day without pain in my legs, and being a childminder thats a great bonus. It is true to say Mr Gajraj Changed my life, and i consider my treatments and care i recieved and the price i paid excellent value for money. Thankyou Mr Gajraj and all the Team at Melbury H Mears
